We represent clients in Denver, Colorado, and the surrounding communities in a variety of matters seniors face, including:

  • Elder law: As people get older, many become vulnerable. When your loved one relies on someone else to care for their daily needs, that person is given a large amount of power. While we hope they use that power for the betterment of a loved one, some people do not. We represent seniors and their loved ones in elder abuse matters and in nursing home litigation. We also help clients with special needs planning, Medicaid planning and loss of capacity.
  • Medicaid planning: Applying for Medicaid benefits can be overwhelming. Many people fear that they will not receive enough benefits to cover long term health care and daily needs, and other people fear they have too much income to qualify for benefits but not enough to pay for healthcare. Our lawyer helps clients with benefit planning, allowing many people to receive the benefits they need to afford healthcare.
  • Estate planning: When it is used effectively, an estate plan allows a person to clearly dictate how they would like their affairs handled if they are unable to do so themselves. Using wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other estate planning tools, we address the division and distribution of their assets, healthcare options, and the care of their children. We also work with clients to prepare trusts for special matters, including pet trusts and charitable trusts.
  • Estate administration and trust litigation: If you think that you did not receive a fair share of an estate, or if you think the deceased person was unduly influenced when they were preparing their will, we may be able to represent you in probate litigation. We represent clients in will contests and probate litigation caused by undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, poorly drafted or hand-written documents, or poorly administered estates.
